Cleaver-Brooks Introduces Hawk 6000 Industrial Control
LINCOLN, Neb:
December 5,
2012
Cleaver-Brooks announces the introduction of the
Hawk 6000 control, engineered for total integration with the Nebraska D (CBND) steam-ready
industrial watertube series requiring single-point positioning, parallel
positioning or fully metered control with 4 to 20 mA actuator for the
integrated NATCOM NXT burner. The Hawk 6000 also can be added as part of a
burner retrofit. This new control system combines industrial market standards
with the Hawk user-friendly environment.
“The Hawk
6000 features a 10-inch, color touch screen that provides access to the latest
combustion control logistics, benefiting from years of proven engineering
experience developed for the petrochemical and utility markets,” said Normand
Bujold, vice president of engineering for NATCOM, a division of Cleaver-Brooks.
All Hawk 6000
systems include Ethernet communication, first out and alarm history, and local
and remote steam demand. Commissioning on the Hawk 6000 control can be
performed through the interface. Inputs and outputs have been pre-characterized
to obtain linear response at all boiler loads and avoid tedious f(x) entries.
The control
system has industrial standard wiring, and it can be connected to a control
panel or junction box. The Hawk 6000 is fully configured and tested at the
factory.
